"Prayer is not a waste of Time but profitable"

Ask any things you need from God through prayer:

"A time spent with the Lord in prayer is not wasted time but a profitable time".

1 Peter 4:7-8
[7]The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
[8]Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

1. PRAYER HELPS YOU DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

God wants to listen from you, and He wants to talk to you. When you pray, He does listen. Then, as you reflect quietly, He answers you in the form of ideas, spiritual feelings, scriptures, or even the actions of other people.

2. PRAYER HELPS YOU GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING OF GOD AND HIS LOVING NATURE.

The scriptures teach that God is love. You can feel that love as you speak daily with Him through prayer, seeking His direction in your life, and feeling Him answer your pleas just like a loving parent—which He is!

3. PRAYER PROVIDES ANSWERS.

Praying and listening to the answers God gives you, can help you to better understand your purpose in life. You begin to comprehend where you came from before you were born and where you will go after you die.

4. PRAYER HELPS YOU FIND DIRECTION IN YOUR LIFE.

When you vocally and abjectly pray to God in a quiet, secluded place, you can work through serious decisions in your life. God listens and provides guidance and even specific answers in some cases. Even when He chooses not to answer directly, prayer itself is a way to align yourself with God’s will and find unity in your life.

5. PRAYER GIVES YOU STRENGTH TO AVOID TEMPTATION.

The scriptures teach that as we pray, we can overcome Satan’s temptations. When you feel that you aren’t strong enough to avoid wrongdoing, pray for God’s help to keep you from making the wrong choice or committing sin.

6. PRAYER ALIGNS YOUR WILL WITH GOD’S WILL.

The objective of prayer is not necessarily to tell God how you want Him to do things. Rather, it’s to better understand Him and His ways, bringing yourself in alignment with His will.

7. PRAYER, COUPLED WITH REGULAR FASTING, CAN HELP YOU ACCEPT GOD’S WILL.

Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights before He began His ministry. He did this, He communed with His Father in Heaven in prayer, which allowed him to avoid Satan’s deceptions and align himself with God’s will. Likewise, if you fast you can feel closer to God, and enjoy more meaningful, heartfelt prayers.

8. PRAYER CAN WORK PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, MENTAL, AND SPIRITUAL MIRACLES.

In Old Testament times, the prophet Daniel was thrown into a lion’s den because he refused to stop praying, even though prayer had been declared criminal. In the lion’s den, Daniel prayed to God, and angels appeared and closed the mouths of the lions. Through dedicated daily prayer, you can also experience personal miracles, such as the miracle of healing, peace, and forgiveness for sins.

9. PRAYER INVITES THE HOLY SPIRIT INTO YOUR LIFE.

As you pray daily, you ask the Holy Spirit to give you answers and bring a feeling of peace and joy into your heart. His purpose is to comfort and direct you. The Holy Spirit can help you feel God’s love.

10. PRAYER ALLOWS YOU TO REPENT, CHANGE YOUR BEHAVIOR, AND BECOME MORE LIKE JESUS.

Jesus set the perfect example of prayer. If you look to His example for how your personal prayers should go, you will not only become more like Jesus, but you will also develop a better relationship with Him and Heavenly Father.
