What is meant by hypocrisy in Bible.

Hypocrisy Is..... 'In the meantime, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trod one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples, first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.' Luke 12:1-3 This is the biblical definition of a hypocrite, 'someone whose words and heart (actions) don't agree.' A hypocrite may act the part of a Christian or talk like Christ, but he or she won't do both. Hypocrisy is defined by the dictionary as, 'The feigning of beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; insincerity'.  In Greek, the word is 'hupokrisis' and means 'the playing of a part on the stage.' Hypocrisy is often said to be doing something even though you don't want to or feel like doing it.  God indeed stresses that our motive and reason for doing things be right, but this does not mean that we always want to, or delight in, doing something. The power of Holy Spirit in Christian's life.

How surrendered are we to the Holy Spirit ? Do you think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? — James 4:5 KJV James 4:5 NKJV [5]Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? For the most part, the word lust has a very bad sign in our minds. We think of sexual lust, for example, as something that must be eliminated from our lives. We think of a greedy kind of lust as an unreasonable desire for material possessions. Lust is something we don’t want to admit exists in our lives. On the opposite, we think of lust as something we want to get rid of.  But James tells us that the Holy Spirit has lust — and because He is the Spirit of holiness (see Romans 1:4), we know that the lust of the Holy Spirit must be a healthy, godly kind. Understanding this point is so important that we must stop and see exactly what James is trying to say to us here. The word “lusteth” is taken from the Greek word "

The story of Noah's times.

The flood of the World  Noah's Sacrifice on Leaving the Ark (Photo by © Historical Picture Archive).   Historical Picture Archive / Getty Images God saw how great enormity had become and decided to scrub humankind off the face of the earth. But one righteous man among all the people of that time, Noah, found favor in God's eyes. With very specific pedagogy, God told Noah to build an ark for him and his family in rehearsal for a catastrophic flood that would destroy every living thing on earth.  God also advised Noah to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, both male and female, and seven pairs of all the clean animals, along with every kind of food to be stored for the  animals  and his family while on the ark. Noah obeyed everything God instructed him to do. After Noah and his family had entered the ark, rain fell for forty days and nights. The waters engulfed the earth for a hundred and fifty days, and every living thing was destroyed. As the waters fell, the ark ca

Be a good example for your children.

A good Parents set a standard in  life.                                                            "And you,Fathers,do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord"(Ephesians 6:4 NKJV). I heard the story of a father and his young son who were climbing a mountain. They came to a very difficult place on the trail, and the father was thinking about which way he should go. As he was thinking about which way to go, he heard his son’s voice behind him, saying, “Choose the true path, Dad. I’m coming right behind you.” The primary spiritual commitment for raising your children doesn’t belong to the church. It doesn’t belong to a Sunday school or a Christian school. It belongs to you. It takes place in your home. You be the godly example, the godly leader. You read the Bible to your children before they go to bed at night. Pray with them and model what it is to be a follower of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “And you, fathers, do not

How God measures a Man Success.

The reward given by God is different from people's reward. Here is a thought you can ponder upon as you built or construct your life.  If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. — 1 Corinthians 3:14 “Every person, who is a born-again child of God is set on a rock-solid foundation (Jesus Christ) , but what he builds on top of it is his responsibility. If he has constructed his life and works so well that they remain after all the fires of life have come and gone, this is what will merit him a reward in the future.” Man measures man’s success by activity and earthly achievement, but God measures success by how well we built our works and by the longevity of our works. As impressive as works may be at the moment, if they don’t pass the test of time, they will not merit a reward. That is why the Bible declares, “If any man’s work abides which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.” What a shocking insightful this is! It means that as

What does Bible say about promotion.

Put your trust in God for all your promotion in Life. *(Matt.19:30)* The bible verse above is fascinating. It leaves us with a couple of questions. How can a first person suddenly become the last? How can a theist man standing eventually turn to be the first? Who, by the way, determines who becomes first and who turns last? What and what can cause such an eventual re-positioning? These are significantly unreal  questions that the Holy Spirit is set to answer here today. *What is promotion or growth in life?* The word promotion is not just for civil and public servants, or for some kind of corporate careers. It is a term that reflects on all aspects of man's progress in life. The bible offers a couple of ways to define the term promotion. Promotion, from the bible perspectives, means to: - to exalt. - to increase in prosperity. - to receive honor and homage. -to be celebrated, decorated, and or beautified, especially by a supposed enemy. - to receive remarkable gifts. - to rule peop

A message for new year and repent for wasted your valuable time.

TIME IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN DIAMONDS. Do you understand child of God that the time the Lord gave you and me was precious, more precious than precious diamond? Once upon a time, a young man was walking along a seashore, when he stumbled on a small sack. He opened the sack and found it to comprise pieces of rock. He picked up the sack, and as he walked he threw the stones one by one into the seawater. At last, there remained only a few small stones in the sack. He put them into his pocket. When he reached home he turned out his pocket and was shocked to see that the stones were not rock pieces but diamonds! He was exceptionally sad to think that he had thrown quite a lot of those precious stones into the depths of the sea. Yes, all the days that have gone by were more precious than precious stones. The question now is, Have you wasted your precious time in the past days? Just as the young man had a few precious stones remaining in his pocket, perhaps we have a few more years or a few more

CAN A CHRISTIAN DRINK ALCOHOL?.

Temptations of  Christian nowadays. When a European Airline was initially launched, an educated Christian gentleman was touring in the first-class section. An air hostess moved toward him with a complimentary drink, this was an alcoholic drink, but the man politely rejected. The air hostess returned but this time brought the drink on a platter, planned to appeal and influence. However, the Christian man again politely rejected, understanding he doesn't drink alcohol. The air hostess was concerned and informed the manager. The manager approached the man with another platter, now designed with flowers. He questioned, “Is there something wrong with our service? Please enjoy the drink, it is a complimentary offer.” The man replied, “I am a Christian and I do not drink alcohol? The manager still insisted that the man take the drink. Then, the Christian proposed that the manager should give the drink to the pilot first. The manager stated, “How can the pilot drink alcohol, he’s on duty!

Tithing is an important part of our relationship with God.

IS TITHING IMPORTANT NOWADAYS. Tithing is a questionable topic among Christians. People have many questions and concerns about it, but disagreeing about what to sacrifice to God is not a new debate. This is a very old argument. One of the first disagreements we read about in the Bible arose between people exactly on the issue of sacrifice — when Cain was offended by Abel because of his sacrifice (see Genesis 4:3-5). Today I want to tell you what I see in the scriptures about tithing and what I believe about it. I have no intention to argue with anyone. I know that if a person decides tithing is optional and unimportant for him, then convincing him otherwise is not easy. He will continue to disagree. But for those who believe tithing is an important part of their relationship with God, this post will be an encouragement. IS TITHING A RULE OF THE OLD OR NEW TESTAMENT? Some people believe that Jesus rescinded all the laws of the Old Testament and that this means tithing does not apply to
